The Most Important Tip for Wearable Spring Prom Dresses 2009--Color

Concise Yellow Halter Prom Dress Evening Dress

The official "It" color of Spring 2009 is yellow, and it's available in everything from a greenish-yellow hue to schoolbus yellow. Although there are plenty of separates and dresses in this sunny hue, the easiest way to wear bright yellow is to pick it up in bags, or other accessories.

You're better off choosing a bright that flatters your coloring (blues and pinks are often easiest) than just choosing what's hot (like bright yellow).

Don't be tempted to mix the brights with black (too '80s). Pair with white, denim or other brights for the freshest look.

Wedding Dresses - The Latest Trends!

Wedding dresses are such an opportunity for any bride to show their unique sense of style and to really make a fashion statement. Gone are the days of the plain style wedding dresses with a little cute well-placed bow; now we are daring to be different! In fact, one of the latest trends is to offer wedding dresses that can be used again. Not only is this a great idea from a budget point of view, but it is also reflective of the simple lines that are part of the modern trend in wedding dresses. Arguably, this fashion is due to the ever increasing age of first time brides as well as the large number of second weddings. Wedding Dresses for the Winter Wedding Whenever we think about wedding dresses, we automatically think of a warm, summer's day, with a crisp, wafting white dress to match. However, there is a growing trend towards winter weddings. Winter wedding dresses may not be pure white and are often the preferred choice for second time brides. Trends in winter wedding dresses include deep red colored dresses or dresses that include a large amount of black. Another great idea is to include a fur collar, or long fake fur coat. If you love a touch of luxury and you want something a little different, then winter wedding dresses may just be the thing for you! Wedding Dresses for the Summer Wedding The key to summer wedding dresses, this year, is color. Many wedding dresses are now using substantial amounts of colored fabric to add a classic touch to an otherwise traditional white or cream dress. Weddings are becoming much more sophisticated; generally, brides will select a theme that they will maintain throughout all aspects of their wedding. Wedding dresses must, of course, fit into this theme and as such colors and accessories are vital. Popular, seasonal colors for wedding dresses include lilac, pink, blue and yellow. Often, brides will choose a half-color theme where the bodice is colored or the skirt is colored, but the other half of the dress is kept in a plain cream or white. Subtle is the name of the game with modern wedding dresses. Wedding Dresses - Standing Out From the Crowd Today, wedding dresses are all different; no-one wants to look the same as the next bride and, naturally, brides go to extreme lengths to make sure that they stand out from the crowd. Of course everyone wants to do so in a classy and not trashy way! It seems that individually designed wedding dresses are the way of the future. By commissioning a made to measure dress you can make sure that it fits perfectly, is exactly what you want and above all, is unique. Wedding dresses are an expression of your personality, so don't hold back; let your imagination run wild!

Try These Cheap Fashion Tips!

Still on a budget? Try these cheap fashion tips:

1. Keep your store receipts and product tags for at least two months. You never know when you might want to return something because your tastes have changed, you have found a defect in the garment or the color is all wrong. Most chain stores have a very forgiving return policy. Of course, if you have worn it ... don't be a chiseler, it's yours.

2. Take a strapless dress or tunic and wear it over a turtle neck for winter or over a tee shirt or thin blouse in warm weather. You get two looks for the price of one, and when traveling, packing these items can double your wardrobe.

3. Wearing mule style shoes this summer? Try a spritz of hair spray on the inner sole so your feet don't slip.

4. Are your shoes scuffed? Dab the spot with a small dollop of Vaseline and blend into the entire shoe for instant shine. Or, polish the shoes with a little hand cream poured onto a paper towel.

5. For dry cuticles, use either Vaseline or A&D ointment. On top of this slather your hands with your favorite hand lotion. Your hands and nails will stay moisturized for hours.

6. Another nail tip: For drying wet nail polish quickly, dip hands into ice cold water or spray nails with cooking oils

7. Stop paying top dollar for makeup removal pads . Try generic brands of baby wipes to remove makeup.

8. If you are a thin, petite-sized woman, don't overlook the children's department for casual clothing such as shorts, capris, cargo pants, denim jackets and T-shirts.

9. This is the season of fake tans . Try using hair removal creams to remove any self-tanner streaks on the sides of your feet, palms, elbow and knees. Rub it on, then immediately wipe it off with a washcloth or tissue.

Makeup and Prom Dresses: Blending for Beauty!

You have purchased your prom dress, shoes, jewelry, and handbag. You have decided on whether you will style your hair yourself or go to a beautician. Now you need to decide if you will do your own makeup or have it done professionally. With .nexteve.com/catalog/newstyles/">2009 prom dresses, it's all about fashion, and makeup is a part of that fashion statement that will make you shine!

If you are one that does not like to wear makeup, you will need to wear a small amount for your prom. Makeup will bring your features out and cover those unwanted blemishes.

If you have decided to do your own makeup, put on your makeup before putting on your prom dress. This is a precaution to protect your prom dress from any drops or spills that may take place while you are applying your makeup.

There are many tips for applying makeup that can bring out your natural beauty.

Foundation and Concealer

The first step in applying makeup is choosing the perfect foundation. This is done by matching the makeup with your skin tone and complexion. Always make sure the makeup is well blended and there are no foundation lines around the neck. For any visible blemishes or dark circles under the eyes, a concealer can be used. Just dab it on lightly and blend it in good with the foundation.

Eye Makeup

Once your foundation is applied, your eyes are the next important step. You do not want your eye shadow to match the color of your prom dress, but you do want it to compliment the dress. In order to highlight your eyes, you will use a lighter shade or the base color from the lash line to the brow. Use a darker shade as a contour along the upper lash line from the center toward the outer corner, then back along crease.

With an eyeliner pencil, draw a single line above upper lash line from inner to outer corner. Then, draw a line under your lower lashes from outer to inner corner.

Mascara adds the finishing touch to your eyes. Hold the brush vertically to stroke your lower lashes. Then, for your upper lashes, wiggle the brush back and forth at the base, and then sweep the brush upward.

Blush

You may want to add a little cheek color just to make people think you have a natural glow. For applying this, you can use a cheek color brush and this will make blending easier.

Lipstick

Your lips can be brought out by lining them with a pencil, then filling them in with a creamy lipstick. This will give definition and shape to your lips. Glossy lipstick can be used for that stunning look.

Powder

Finally, after all your prom makeup has been applied, dust your face with loose powder using light, downward strokes. This can be applied by using a powder brush

Body Makeup

You may want to experiment with the body makeup to highlight your prom dress. This is glitter powder or gel that can be applied to your arms and shoulders and you will look like you are under the stars

Just one tip: Do not use any of your friend's makeup (especially eye makeup). Bacteria may be in the makeup because it has been opened and used. This can cause eye infection or pink eye. If you are having your makeup done professionally, carry your own lipstick with you.

These makeup tips can also be used for other occasions in which formal dresses, homecoming gowns and Quinceanera gowns are worn. Makeup and prom dresses can blend to bring out your beauty on your special evening!

5 Holiday Fashion Mistakes

5 Holiday Fashion Mistakes

If you've ever dressed up shinier than a Christmas tree or turned down last-minute party invitations because you had nothing to wear, you'll know that the holiday season is loaded with chances for fashion disasters.

With a little help and preparation, you can learn how to avoid common holiday fashion mistakes and look your prettiest this year.

Common holiday fashion faux pas:

1.Wearing Too Much Glitz
Beading, metallic and shimmer are all fine for the holidays. In fact, most women wait until a good party to break out all of the glitzy finery. But too much shine can overwhelm anyone, especially if you wear it in areas that you don't necessarily want to highlight (like a beaded chest sweater for a busty gal).

Twinkling Beaded Black Strapless Evening Gown Formal Dress with Train (The twisted pleating adds sophisticated contrast and cinches the dress in a figure flattering way. A dramatic train makes this dress red carpet worthy, so you will feel like a star whenever you wear this phenomenal formal gown. )

2.Showing Too Much Skin
Thigh-high miniskirts and cut-to-the-navel dresses may look great on the runway, but in reality they are almost impossible to carry off. Not only is it possible to dress sexy while leaving lots to the imagination, it's also the best way to look your prettiest for the holidays. The secret here is to accentuate your best features with a suggestion: a lace trimmed camisole under a blazer hints at great cleavage, a small slit on a skirt gives a glimpse at gorgeous legs, a halter dress shows off toned arms.

Sleek Lilac Silk V-Neck Halter Evening Gown Formal Dress with Jeweled Accent (The silken dress will show off your curves, while allowing you to comfortably dance the night away. Sophisticated enough to make an elegant red carpet appearance, this is a luxurious formal dress for any special occasion. )

3.Getting Caught With Nothing to Wear
Nothing is worse than being invited to a fabulous party and having nothing to wear. By keeping a few dressy basics in your closet you can always be prepared for last-minute invitations. You can even re-wear the items and make them look totally different just with accessories.

4.Making It Too Complicated
No wonder women approach the holidays with dread: trying to coordinate outfits, gifts, travel and parties can overload even the most organized woman.
Instead of trying to match up dressy separates, try a little black dress this season. Not only is it universally flattering, it will take you to almost any event in style. Just add accessories and you're set.

5.Being Under or Over Dressed
You show up in jeans, everyone else wears velvet; you wear a long dress and others wear business clothes. You're not alone if you have trouble deciphering dress codes on a party invitation: most people get confused by designations as ambiguous as "Dressy Casual" or "Cocktail Attire." A few dressy items span several categories -- such as the little black dress for her or dark suit for him -- both of which can attend everything from semi-formal to cocktail parties.
